My Doula Approach: Holding Space for Your Birth Story

Birth is Powerful. You Deserve to Feel Supported.

As a birth doula, my approach is all about creating a warm, supportive sisterhood. I want to be the kind of person you can lean on—someone who listens with an open heart, offers helpful guidance, and lifts you up when things feel overwhelming. Think of me as that sister who’s always by your side—cheering you on, celebrating your strength, and making sure you feel cared for and empowered every step of the way. It’s a deeply personal, nurturing relationship designed to help you feel confident and supported throughout your birth journey. Every mother’s journey is unique, and my role is not to direct or control, but to support you in making the choices that feel best for you and your baby.

A Relationship Built on Trust

My work as a doula starts long before labor begins. I take the time to get to know you, your hopes for birth, and any fears or concerns you may have. Whether it’s your first baby or your fifth, every birth is a new and transformative experience, and my goal is to make sure you feel heard, supported, and confident in your journey.

What My Doula Support Looks Like

  • Prenatal Guidance – Before your birth we will meet at least two times but more if you need. During our prenatals we will focus on your preferences, talk through any questions you may have, and emotional well-being. I am here to offer guidance and unwavering support.

  • Labor & Birth Support – When the time comes, I’ll be by your side, offering physical and emotional support. This could mean helping set up your birth space, assisting with movement and positioning, providing encouragement, or simply holding space in a warm, quiet, calming presence.

  • Postpartum Care – The transition into motherhood doesn’t end after birth. After your birth, I offer one to two postpartum visits within the first two weeks to assist with newborn care, breastfeeding, and provide emotional support. I’ll continue to check in on you, answer any questions, and make sure you feel supported as you navigate those first few days and weeks.

Birth Belongs to You

One of the things I am most passionate about is reminding women that birth belongs to them. You have the strength, the intuition, and the ability to bring your baby into the world in the way that feels right for you. My role is simply to stand beside you, encourage you, and create a space where you feel empowered to own your birth experience.
